Ron Feaker, warning us that we cannot really redeem time because once it is gone, it is gone forever, admonishes us to remember that every day is a gift from God, and that life itself is very fragile. We need to remember that God has created time, and has determined the optimum time of our calling. Life is a fleeting vapor, but God has enabled us to extend our lives with His implanted Holy Spirit. While we live our lives, we must be different, seeking those things which are above, doing things to please and glorify our Heavenly Father, and allowing our lights to shine before the world. God provides various shaping experiences, good and bad, enabling us to focus on our role in God’s Kingdom. We need to use the gift of God’s Holy Spirit for self-control and to serve others. Though our nation has advanced in technological knowledge, it has rejected the precious knowledge of God. We must not only know the will of God, but faithfully do the will of God, no matter what the future brings.
