Dave Havir, focusing on the significance of God’s feasts, elicits readings from the law by various members of the congregation, explaining the sense or interpretation of the scripture as it is read. Thorough explanations are made of the upcoming fall annual feasts, suggesting that we now observe them, worshipping God in spirit and truth. The Feast of Trumpets focuses on a time of world calamity and trouble, warning of counterproductive attitudes the Lord condemns. Following on the heels of the bad news is the good news of God’s coming kingdom, highlighted by the kingdom parables. The Day of Atonement often becomes neglected, but it shows the significance of Jesus Christ as our High Priest, having sacrificed His blood, giving us access to the Holy of Holies. The Feast of Tabernacles pictures a time when the called out ones, the resurrected saints will reign with Christ, serving as his kings and priests. The Great White Throne Judgment ushers in a time of exponential growth in God’s family and the reality of the New Jerusalem. The Feasts of the Eternal are a blessing to us, unveiling God’s plan for us.
