Mike Williams, cuing in on Matthew 18:1-3, addresses the purpose of our calling, including becoming as teachable and malleable as little children, learning from imitation. We must follow Jesus Christ, bearing fruit and sharing it with others, exemplifying the Golden Rule. Throughout our lives, we must stay on the straight and narrow path, assiduously guarding our hearts and minds, loving God with all our strength and might, loving our neighbors as ourselves, continually bearing good fruit which tastes good to others. We do not produce fruit to look good, but to provide nourishment to others. We cannot provide this nourishment unless we are attached to the vine drinking in of God’s Holy Spirit.
