Neil McIver, reflecting on an incident of an untimely death of a young man, ponders how such a thing can be a part of God's overall plan. Scriptures demonstrate God's control and sovereignty over all things, including those that seem untimely. Some of the reasons for untimely death include (1) time and chance , (2) when God's purpose for them have been fulfilled, or (3) to serve as the test of the living. The Last Great Day or the Great White Throne Judgment looks forward to a time at the end of the Millennium, when the majority of those who have ever lived will receive their first opportunity for salvation and all will receive the Bread of Life and Living Water, completing God's plan for salvation. The righteous totally trust God, not fearing death, realizing that death does not overrule God's plan.
