Colleen Bailey, asking her four year old son Ryan to recite Psalm 23, recounts how a doctor had earlier mentioned that Ryan had been sent to teach her. Ryan, a special needs child who at one time could barely speak, has taught his parents to become as children, having complete trust and confidence in the Lord as our Shepherd, relinquishing the things over which we have no control. No matter what our age, God is our Father; we are His children. God gently guides us on the path of righteousness. Ryan has brought joy to his parents, making them aware of God’s strength and His ability to walk them through their trials and tribulations, looking at the praiseworthy aspects of our lives. Every lesson Ryan was going through had direct application to his parents. Ryan’s experiences have opened up opportunities for his parents, giving them joy, building special skills and insights, and awakening their need for God. The seminar concludes with Laura Kelley’s vocal rendition of Psalm 23.
