Ron Feaker, acknowledging that the future will be fraught with uncertainty and danger, emphasizes that we must face it with faith and conviction. The Bible is replete with examples of individuals who exercised faith and conviction, such as David who had the courage to kill a lion, protecting the sheep, and who volunteered to slay the champion of the Philistines, Goliath, because he was incensed that this giant had defied the army of the Living God. David trusted in God to deliver Goliath into his hand, acknowledging that the Battle was the Lord’s. During a time the entire world waxed totally evil, Noah distinguished himself from all the other human beings who behaved wickedly, saving him and his family from annihilation. Moses was prepared to shepherd a people through the wilderness. Our forefather Abraham has bequeathed upon us continuous blessings because of his unquestioning obedience, including the near sacrifice of his own son, Isaac. Christ demonstrated faith and conviction as he sacrificed His life for all of us.
