JL Roden, reflecting on a hypothetical situation in which doors and windows will not close properly, suggests that a contractor will not examine doors and windows per se, but will concentrate on the condition of the foundation. Likewise, we are to attend to the condition of our spiritual foundations. Four insidious philosophies currently in force in our federal government are threatening to worm their way into the churches and into our personal spiritual lives: social justice, social equality, collective salvation, and freedom to worship. Social justice is an ill-conceived socialistic-communistic plan to steal from the productive and give to the lazy, totally at odds with biblical principles. The insidious concept of collective salvation, an aberration of black liberation theology, is also at odds with scripture, which affirms that salvation is an individual acceptance of a calling God gives to us personally, not as part of a group. The present support for “freedom to worship” is a highly protracted erosion of “freedom of religion.” The concept of freedom to worship enables the government, on the basis of political correctness, to restrict the religious activities of Christians while promoting non-Christian religion, and is a severe attenuation of freedom of religion. Wolves in sheep’s clothing are currently poised in positions of power to ruthlessly devour our religious freedoms. The current issue is not the issue; the issue is power and control.
