Neil McIver, continuing in his series on preparing for Passover, offers five cautions about potential dangers to our Christian walk and reminds us that what we had to give up to follow this life was worthless in comparison to the blessings we have accrued. We may seem initially beaten down like a punching bag, but we have resiliency in Christ, Who lives His life in us. To succeed in our Christian walk, we should acknowledge and confess our sins. If we are serious in our walk, prayer will be a top priority. We jeopardize our walk with Christ if we do not love people as we should (even though some people are harder to love than others). When we become complacent, not caring what people think, we endanger our walk with Christ. We need to be examples and positive role models to others, guarding what we say, think, or do. If we seek glory to ourselves, we endanger our Christian walk. Our motivation to serve should only be to glorify God, not to glorify ourselves. If we neglect fellowship or coming to church, we put our walk with Christ in danger. We dare not forsake the fellowship with one another, losing out on a source of encouragement and edification. God is waiting for us to reach out to Him.
