Stan West - The Importance of God's Blessing

Stan West, asking whether we take other peoples' feelings into account when we make decisions that would involve them, advises that we should get their approval or blessing before we make the decision. Moreover, it is most important to seek God's blessing in any endeavor we plan to make on our walk with God. Practically every book in the entire Bible touches upon some aspect of the topic of blessing. God's relationship with man, as well as His entire creation, was attended with a blessing. When our parents Adam and Eve brought a curse upon us by eating the forbidden fruit, we were temporarily cut off from the original magnitude of the blessings, but we began to see the restoration of these blessings through our father Abraham's obedience. Abraham's descendents, as well as all peoples on the earth, have been blessed through Abraham's obedience. The lineage of David also received a perpetual blessing, most notably through his offspring, Jesus Christ. Through both of these lineages, we have access to untold material and spiritual blessings, including grace, truth, the Gospel, favor from God, forgiveness, salvation, the fellowship of the Body of Christ, joy, strength and peace, having Christ as our Shepherd, trials that build character, and the blessing of the tree of life . A special blessing we share in the church is the blessing of the little children.
