Bernie Monsalvo, suggesting that although many television and radio evangelists give lip service to “the Gospel,” there is great confusion as to the word's meaning, varying from a concept of grace, a social gospel, health, peace, tolerance, wealth, and prosperity gospel, the church, a sentimental something set up in our hearts, etc. The truth of the Gospel is elusive for most people. The Gospel is good news about the coming Kingdom of God, a literal Kingdom which will be set up on this earth, enabling human beings to become members of God's family. Paul preached continually about the Kingdom of God.  Human beings, independently or collectively, cannot bring about the Kingdom of God; only God can do that. The prophet Daniel knew that the Kingdom of God was a future literal entity on the earth after the overturning of the Babylonian, Chaldean, Greco-Macedonian, and Roman empires. Most heads of state today do not know that God is sovereign over all creation, appointing who is and is not in charge. God's called-out ones have been given advanced news of the impending destruction of the world's governments and the subsequent establishment of God's everlasting Kingdom ruled over by Jesus Christ, King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. We need to be praying daily for this coming kingdom.
