James Moran, reminding us that it is necessary to have placed something into remembrance before God's Holy Spirit can bring it into remembrance, admonishes us that we should have our attention focused on the Scriptures daily, reflecting and meditating upon its contents. God created the Heavens and the Earth, but it became tohu and bohu because of the rebellion of Hillel, a covering cherub (later Satan), and a third of the angels, causing God to exile them to earth as a kind of dungeon. Jesus Christ came to earth to illuminate it, delivering it from darkness, calling out followers to also become light to the world by keeping God's commandments and teaching others to follow them. In essence, we are to reflect the light of Jesus Christ. Though the United States was originally founded by Pilgrims seeking religious liberty, attempting to bring light into a dark world, the light has grown dim, displaying more godlessness than godliness. God's called-out ones should continue to walk in the light, refusing to compromise with the darkness of condoning sin.
