Bernie Monsalvo focuses on the one and only Gospel of Jesus Christ—the Gospel of the Kingdom of God—of which most of the world is hopelessly oblivious. Prior to Jesus Christ's proclaiming the Gospel, prophecies about the Kingdom of God were found in the Old Testament. Christ prepared the disciples to proclaim the Kingdom of God. The apostle Paul boldly proclaimed that same Gospel. We learn that it is possible for us to be in the God's Kingdom because Jesus Christ has paid the penalty of our sins. The good news of the Kingdom of God is something we must believe in order to be saved. Rather than a “warm fuzzy feeling in our heart,” the Gospel reveals a literal Kingdom, the Kingdom revealed to Nebuchadnezzar in his dream or vision, as interpreted by Daniel. Only God gives power to establish kingdoms, and He will ultimately establish the Kingdom of His Son on this earth as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, putting to an end the futile attempts of human kings and emperors. God's Kingdom will establish love-based principles in contrast to the tyranny and intimidation practiced by Gentile worldly kingdoms. We have an opportunity, at the culmination of our calling, to be part of this world-ruling system—if we are willing to love God above everything else and be willing to bear our cross, living our lives as Christ's disciple. Ready or not, Christ's Kingdom is coming.
