Dave Havir, focusing on a passage in Titus 1:15, "unto the pure, all things are pure" asks how it is possible for an individual to become, and remain, pure. We become pure through the sacrifice of Christ and His blood, superseding or changing the temple sacrifice system. We need to be obedient spiritual children not forsaking the law of our spiritual parents. We are obligated to find good instruction and try to live by it, but if we do make a mistake, we go boldly before the Throne of Grace. Our perspectives of life will vary depending on our paradigms-our perceptions or expectations are shaped by our life experiences. We behave differently as we progress through different age levels, from child, to adolescent, to adult, to senior citizen, etc. If we are trying to help other people with their trials, it behooves us to try to see where the other person has been in his life's travels, whether they have traveled through anger, bitterness, fear, etc. If we have never used illegal drugs or committed adultery, it would be difficult to understand where they are coming from. In the area where we have sinned and repented, we have the opportunity to help others with those same propensities. The lessons we have learned from our mistakes could help other people. We can learn a great deal from pain. The reality of God's forgiveness should help us to have compassion on others.  When we plant spiritual seeds, we should have the humility to stand back and watch God bring the increase. We should be a magnet to people wondering why we are so happy and hopeful.
